After realizing the need for interior protection, formed TufWrap Systems, Inc. Later changed to TuffWrap® Installations, Inc.
Began providing services nationwide and in Canada.

1st patent was applied for and began to develop a working panelized ceiling system.
Established current company headquarters in Harleysville, PA.
Major food manufacturer needed more than poly because fork truck movements of pallets damaged the wall system. Developed 4 ft. tall metal stud support system that was compact and cost efficient.
Started process of seeking UL 723S classification. First two designs are tested but failed to pass.
The third completed design passed the UL 723S test and SmartSeam® became UL classified for installation under sprinklers. In the fall the first SmartSeam® job took place at Samuel Adams, Allentown, PA.
Developed and refined manufacturing techniques and machinery to manufacture SmartSeam and the TuffWrap unique dust cap. The manufacturing equipment was designed, developed, and built in-house.
Developed and finalized the unique TuffWrap pocket door design. Hybrid walls were also developed for areas with heavy foot traffic and equipment traffic involving TuffWrap proprietary bracing and TuffWrap proprietary food grade TuffPanels
Developed a company-wide safety program led by a degreed and accredited safety manager.
Added a dedicated US and Canada based Project Manager/Estimator team.
Developed and implemented stringent Quality Control processes and documentation for the purpose of achieving code compliance.
Began developing TuffWrap temporary exterior walls (EXT).
First EXT job completed replacing heat shrink materials and processes that were used in the past. EXT offers two key advantages over heat shrink – There is no heat required to make the plastic tight (eliminating safety hazards associated with open flames on the construction site) and the EXT walls are constructed from reinforced polymer plastic sheet that is tear resistant.
TuffWrap SmartSeam® receives International Building Code (IBC) compliance.
TuffWrap Canada ULC is established in the Province of Ontario.
TuffWrap SmartSeam® receives FM Approval as a class 4652 material.
